About PWC

To introduce young athletes to the sport of wrestling, help spread the love for the sport, develop sportsmanship and strong work ethic in our youth, and ultimately prepare our youth to compete at an elite level when they enter high-school.

Plainfield Wrestling Club (PWC) was established in 1974, during our 45 years of existence we have concentrated on developing young kids into amazing wrestlers and adults, preparing them to compete in high-school as well as in life.  We provide an awesome family environment and culture.  PWC success on the mat the last several years has continued to grow.  Taking 1st Place in the Silver Bracket of Didi-Duals in 2017, PWC repeated in 2018 with another Silver Bracket 1st place trophy.  PWC continued this success into last season making it to the Gold Bracket and taking 4th Place overall and placing higher than any other PWC Didi Dual team in history.

PWC had a lot of individual success last year as well with 6 kids qualifying for the State Tournament in Rockford, another Club record.

PWC Wrestlers have the opportunity to be exposed to all levels of wrestling.  From beginner/rookie tournaments to national level elite wrestling.  Nothing happens overnight and your child’s progress will depend on how hard they work.  Wrestling is an intense and demanding sport it is important that we find a balance for each kid to help ensure they enjoy themselves and are still excited to compete as they enter high-school.
